Sharing a love of the land, natural remedies, and pursuit of transparency in the ingredients of our everyday life no matter where we are; our family has embraced a renewed sense of gratitude to Mother Nature with a philosophy of servitude as our driving force.

Our Mission

Now reunited in our home state of Kansas, we are bringing our passions for reconnecting with the land into full circle at Sunnyland. Together, our mission has been realized: sharing our pursuit of balance-based everyday wellness through high-quality ingredients from the earth.

Sheldon Coleman

Sheldon Coleman

Co-Founder, Co-CEO

As the 3rd generation to run the legendary Coleman Company of outdoor products fame, Sheldon has spent a lifetime in businesses based on a love of the great outdoors and deep respect for the wonders of nature.

Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, he and his wife Kathy are proud founders of Sunnyland Kansas farm. Joined by their sons, family members, and close friends, their farm is a pursuit of excellence based on hard work but spiced with fun, laughter, tea breaks, and good times.

Starting as a feminized hemp operation designed to produce cannabinoids such as CBD and CBG for health and wellness products has now transformed into a farm delivering a broader mission of nature-based herbs, create, and hemp-derived products for local, regional, and national consumers.

“Our family’s goal is to produce the finest natural products to help people discover wellness solutions and a more balanced lifestyle – whether hemp-derived products through our AdvenTrue gummies, tinctures, and lotions, or our expanding offerings of produce or medicinal herbs, we learn daily how natural solutions can change lives. Through organic practices and personal hands in the dirt, our life has become focused on a pursuit of wellness solutions straight from Mother Nature to customers near and far.”

Kathy Coleman

Kathy Coleman

Co-Founder, Co-CEO

Kathy drives our pursuit of designing and building artful spaces to grow and connect with one-another, using nature as a guide.

Living and traveling in the Netherlands, Italy, and France has inspired her aesthetic eye, and she crafts spaces that merge dramatic, yet grounding architectural elements with beautiful, intentionally curated gardens.

She is our resident beekeeper and patient weeder, and her vision for the farm’s future is filled with fragrant lavender, colorful flowers, and beauty everywhere.

Shari Klapprott

Vice President of Ag Services

Shari was raised in Derby, KS and has lived in Wichita for most of her life. She worked at Big Dog Motorcylces for 18 years and now runs our drying facility in Newton, KS. During the grow season, you can find her working in the gardens or the hemp field, and taking care of the chickens. During the harvest season, she operates our two commercial driers. No matter where she is, Shari is our resident joy-sparker; she sets the tone with her outrageous sense of humor and fills our days with constant laughter.

Devon Creasman

Devon Creasman

Marketing Director

Born and raised in Wichita, KS, Devon has been in the small business world since her first job at her grandpa’s business when she was 12. Since then, she founded her own business called ICT Box at 19. She is now a student at WSU studying Marketing and directing marketing for Sunnyland and our sister brand AdvenTrue.

She loves to be outside, so naturally, you can find her & her camera in the hemp fields, getting comfy with the bees in the garden or making the trek down to the peaceful creek. With an ever-present pursuit of holistic living and healthful ingredients, she’s finding joy in learning more about medicinal herbs & cannabinoids at the farm.

Coen Nel

Coen Nel

Farm Support

Coen is from Phongolo, South Africa, where he now spends winters with his grandchildren when he’s not being a skilled problem-solver at our farm in Kansas during the warm seasons. He’s had many years of experience working on farms. He can do everything from electrical, irrigation, and tractor maintenance to coming up with ingenious solutions to any problems that arise. He often works from sunrise to sunset to get the job done and is always sure to show up with a slew of practical jokes at the ready.

Karme Clark

Farm Support

Karme was raised on a farm, and it shows — she is one of the hardest workers on our crew. She took a bit of a detour into corporate America before returning to her farming roots with Sunnyland, where she infuses her work with her care for all living things — including planting for pollinators and keeping our chickens happy, healthy, and full of grubs and grasshoppers.
